In the summer of 2010 I returned home from Australia and I decided it was time to find a massive house and fill it with creative like minded in light of having a semi-collaborative studio/ living space. whilst the studio side of things never quite came into fruition we did manage to house interior designers, a footwear designer,a portrait artist, an actress, a muse (Nino) and, well, and English language student. The house was enormous, my bathroom alone had two baths and two sinks, one bath being standup with a twizzly door and the other a totally dysfunctional jacuzzi style. It was extraordinary, as were the parties. But a few months in Harriet and I decided it was time for an event. I would organize artists to exhibit and she would approach young theatre schools and together we would put on a show. It was a full house, we had to turn people away at the door. I made stickers, a website, a logo and some flyers. It was wonderful.
Despite things ending quite suddenly GroveEndRoad (the road sign of which I sleep under to this day) was an odd magical time and I feel so lucky to have experienced such debauchery and strangeness with such great people.
